Photoshop CS3 on the UX1XN - Video

Its time for the first video Blog entry! This is a short clip of the UX1XN in use with Photoshop CS3 and the touch screen in response to Junki's questions. Sorry about the auto-focus going a bit mad, I will sort that out before I do any more video.

Wow, you pronounced my name correctly on the first go.

That doesn't happen too often. LOL

Thanks again for the great video.

That gives me a pretty good idea of what I was wondering about (photoshop performance).

I just thought of another question.

Do you know how many levels of pressure sensitivity the UX touch screen has?

Thanks again for all of your insight.

Hi Junki,

I'm afraid you've got me there - I've no idea.

I did email Sony yesterday to try and get a technical contact whom I can ask these sorts of questions. No response yet though.

Thanks

Simon

Thanks Simon,

I really appreciate you taking the time and trouble to answer my questions.

You only get one pressure level with a passive screen I think.

Despite trawling the web for weeks deciding, did not find any mention of it.

OQO would have been good for this had the active digitiser screen been accurate (it's not).

On a different note, the Sony is more pocketable than I thought it would be. I really like it. keyboard is weak point, but love the handwriting recognition. its amazingly accurate (even with my writing).

Also, lots of reviewers complain about not being able to use the pointer/pen to left click after zooming in. That's no correct, you can switch between pointer and pan modes.

Hi Zuber,

How are you doing hand writing recognition? Is that within Office 2007 with that hack that you linked to before or are you using solmething else?

Thanks

Simon
